God's Lovingkindness

"Your lovingkindness, O LORD,extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; Your judgments are like a great deep. O LORD,You preserve man and beast." Psalm 36:5,6

My God's lovingkindness is very great. It is as high as the heavens are above the earth. His lovingkindness toward me is everlasting. The LORD is slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, forgiving iniquity and transgression. My God is the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments.

My God's righteousness reaches to the heavens. He has done great things; who is like Him?

"Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!" Romans 11:33

The LORD, my God, sustains all who fall and raises up all who are bowed down. "The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food in due time, You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing." Psalm 145:14-16

"How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.

They drink their fill of the abundance of Your house; and You give them to drink of the river of Your delights. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light." Psalm 36:7-9

The LORD, my God, has done wonders in the earth and wonders for me. His loving thoughts toward me are expressed in lovingkindness -- in a vast array of loving actions. With King David I can say "How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand." Psalm 139:17,18

The LORD's people take refuge in Him. As King David says, "You have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength against the enemy. Let me dwell in Your tent forever; let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings." Psalm 61:3,4  The LORD's wings are not those of a hen or a dove. His are the wings of a mighty Warrior Eagle. In the shadow of His wings we can take refuge until destruction passes by.

The LORD is the fountain of living waters. Forgive me LORD, for forsaking You and digging my own cisterns. Broken cisterns that can hold no water. But You have ransomed me and have redeemed me from the evil one who held me in slavery.

"They will come and shout for joy on the height of Zion, and they will be radiant over the bounty of the LORD -- And their life will be like a watered garden, and they will never languish again."

"Then the virgin will rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old, together, for I will turn their mourning into joy and will comfort them and give them joy for their sorrow." Jeremiah 31:12,13
