Do Not Cast Me Off In Old Age

Do not cast me off in the time of old age; do not forsake me when my strength fails. For my enemies have spoken against me; and those who watch for my life have consulted together, saying "God has forsaken him; pursue and seize him, for there is no one to deliver." Psalm 71:9-11

Do not cast me off in the time of old age;

"The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree, he will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still yield fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and very green, to declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him." Psalm 92:12-15

"Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, you who have been borne by Me from birth and have been carried from the womb;

even to your old age I will be the same, and even to your greying years I will bear you! I have done it, and I will carry you; and I will bear you and I will deliver you. Isaiah 46:3,4

I will be the same.

"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you.

For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in your place. Since you are precious in My sight, since you are honored and I love you, I will give other men in your place and other peoples in exchange for your life.

Do not fear, for I am with you." Isaiah 43:1-5

There is no one to deliver.

"But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD, I say, "You are my God." My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me.

Make Your face to shine upon Your servant; save me in Your lovingkindness." Psalm 31:14-16
